History

The Woman’s Club of Bethesda, Inc. was organized May 27, 1911.  It was admitted to County Federation in 1912 and admitted to State Federation in 1914 and admitted to General Federation in 1915.  Our Club was incorporated January 14, 1926.  Our Club Motto is “ An Earnest Club for Earnest Women “.  We are not only a wonderful Club of women working and having fun together, but we share and network and learn from all of the women in Woman’s Clubs throughout the United States and abroad.  Our aim is to increase our membership with women who want to help their communities throughout the world.  As we grow as an organization we also grow as individuals.  By enhancing the lives of others we too are enriched.  We are all volunteers in a non-profit organization striving to help others.

We assist with education, rescue organizations, shelters for victims of domestic violence, Heifer, and Manna Food Kitchens and ever so much more.  If you want to enrich your life by helping others and sharing the joy that comes with these tasks with other women, please call our Membership Chairman, Tin Tin Nu Raschid at 301 469 7592.  We are reaching out to women in our community to join us for lunch, coffee or a telephone chat.  We are looking for those women who are ready to get involved in our club.
